Current/voltage controller
type UIB

Application
The TYPE UIB current/voltage controller is a precision controller for variable transformers in rectifiers. It ensures stable and reliable control of output voltage and output current, making it ideal for applications in electroplating and other DC-based processes.

Product Description
The TYPE UIB current/voltage controller is designed as a three-point controller and is used for the constant control of output current or output voltage to a defined setpoint. The actual value of the rectifier is continuously recorded and compared with the specified setpoint.

The resulting control deviation is used as a control signal to ensure precise and stable adjustment of the current and voltage values. The UIB controller thus enables reliable process management and contributes to the optimization of efficiency and quality in industrial applications.

FAQ

What is the UIB controller used for?

The UIB is a three-point controller used exclusively for controlling variable transformers in rectifiers. It keeps the output current or voltage constant at a specified setpoint.
The UIB compares the actual value (current or voltage) with the setpoint and, depending on the deviation, controls the variable transformer in the corresponding direction (up/down). This is a classic three-point control system.
The UIB is suitable for use in rectifiers with variable transformers of all power classes, from small laboratory devices to large industrial plants.
Yes, the UIB can be retrofitted into many existing MUNK rectifiers with variable transformers. MUNK Service is available to assist with compatibility and installation.
The UIB has input connections for the rectifier’s actual value as well as outputs for the three-point control of the variable transformer drive. The exact pin assignment is described in the data sheet.
