Multi-circuit power supply

Application
The multi-circuit power supply is used in modern electroplating systems such as plastic electroplating (POP) and zinc alloys. In addition, the multi-circuit power supply is ideally suited for semi-automated small systems in medical technology, as it ensures an efficient and reliable DC power supply.

Product description
The multi-circuit power supply is a central cabinet system that reliably supplies all electroplating baths with DC power in a star configuration. Installed at a technically feasible distance with a central feed, this system provides the protective selectivity, communication modules, cooling concept and the respective rectifier units in typical 19″ plug-in technology. This eliminates the cooling-related and cabling-related risk at the electroplating bath, as is the case, for example, with decentralized individual units.

The multi-circuit star power supply is also available in an air-cooled version.

Customer benefits
The multi-circuit power supply combines all process cells in a central enclosure. Installation effort is concentrated on a central mains cable, the control cable, and the DC cabling and busbar system. Unlike a decentralized solution, the system provides the safety of ensuring that the hazardous mains voltage remains exclusively inside the cabinet and does not reach the bath. The effort required for optimal cooling is low.

A sustainable, robust design of the multi-circuit power supply that counteracts the corrosive ambient conditions at the process baths and provides the user with reliable, long-term production reliability.

FAQ

When is a water-cooled multi-circuit power supply advisable?

A water-cooled multi-circuit power supply is recommended when high power must be provided in the smallest possible space or when the ambient temperature does not allow air cooling.
The number of output circuits is project-specific and is configured individually to meet customer requirements. MUNK handles the complete engineering and integration.
The water-cooled multi-circuit power supply supports Profibus DP, ProfiNET, Modbus and other fieldbuses for seamless integration into higher-level process control systems.
All modules receive cooling water via a central cooling water distribution system in the cabinet. MUNK ensures easy access to the cooling water connections for maintenance work.
A central multi-circuit power supply reduces installation and maintenance effort, minimizes wiring effort, and enables easier monitoring of all circuits via a shared interface.
