The overcurrent monitor OCD 1/500 is a precise monitoring device for DC overcurrents in high-power mains rectifiers. It continuously measures the voltage across a shunt and compares it with a defined limit value.

If the set switching threshold is exceeded, the system automatically ensures that the current is regulated back below the permissible value. This enables the OCD 1/500 to provide reliable protection against overloads and supports safe and stable operation of DC power supply systems.
