PSP Tower

Application
The PSP Tower is used in general electroplating, electropolishing, and aluminum anodizing.

Product description
The PSP Tower stands for maximum efficiency in modern rectifier technology and impresses with a combination of high power density, modular design, and reliable industrial design. With an output of 36 kW per module and a maximum output current of 2,000 A (18 V / 2,000 A), it offers one of the highest power densities in its class.

Thanks to the modular concept, the total output can be flexibly adapted: with up to five modules, output currents of up to 10,000 A can be achieved. The small number of modules also ensures high availability, reliability, and low maintenance costs.

A key advantage of the PSP Tower is how easy it is to expand. Thanks to the stackable housing design and external connections, additional modules can be integrated quickly—for a straightforward power increase during operation.

Customer Benefits
Increasing power has never been so easy. Each 2,000 A module has its own stackable housing. This results in a major advantage: you can simply place a new module on the existing PSP Tower and, in just a few steps, you have built a “new” rectifier with more power.

FAQ

Which rectifier for electroplating should I buy if I want to be able to easily increase its output in the future?

The Munk PSP Tower is the ideal solution for electroplating applications where a future power upgrade is planned. The PSP Tower’s design reflects key efficiency criteria: reliability, high availability, and low maintenance costs. Since each module has its own stackable housing and all connections are external, if you need more power you can simply place a new module on the PSP Tower and the process continues in the shortest time with increased output!
The Munk PSP Tower is the optimal solution for electroplating applications where efficiency is critical. With an output of 36 kW and a maximum output current of 2,000 A per module (16 V/2,000 A), the PSP Tower offers the highest power density in its class. Thanks to its modular design, output can be increased to up to 10,000 A with just five modules and adapted to your requirements at any time. The low number of modules ensures high availability, reliability, and low maintenance costs. By using state-of-the-art silicon carbide (SiC) technology, the PSP Tower also delivers maximum energy efficiency, a compact design, and precise control—making it a future-proof solution for modern electroplating systems.
It is more space-saving compared to other rectifiers, can also be installed outdoors under a canopy, for example, and is therefore robust.
The PSP Tower is suitable for electroplating processes, electropolishing, and aluminum anodizing—anywhere high availability, low maintenance costs, and flexible scalability are required.
You can get Profibus, Profinet, or an analog interface on these devices.
