AxD Compact L

Application
The requirements for innovative surfaces and electrolytic processes are becoming ever more demanding. Pulse power supplies are used in electroplating technology, as well as in numerous special processes.

Product description
With the AxD device generation, Compact L design, pulse current technology is redefined. A smart power supply concept that offers the possibilities of individual pulse shape design. The design tool and the Windows-based PC software VPC 3.0 represent the pragmatically oriented link between the user and the pulse power supply. A dual interface hardware allows the integration of the pulse pattern into the higher-level plant control system (Twin Interface).

Customer Benefits
The AxD series of devices is available in air-cooled or water-cooled versions. This always ensures installation in close proximity to the bath. Protection classes up to IP 54. The intelligent multi-pulse concept and the highly effective pulse current optimization (IPOS) guarantee extremely steep current rise times and optimal results for all special pulse applications.

FAQ

How does the AxD Compact L differ from the AxD Compact?

The AxD Compact L offers 6 kW, 33% more power than the AxD Compact (4.5 kW), with the same number of output circuits (1–4) and the same pulse current peak (1,800 A).
The AxD Compact L is suitable for electroplating processes that require higher continuous power without sacrificing the compactness and fast pulse technology of the AxD Compact.
The AxD Compact L is programmed via the MUNK Visual Plating Controller (VPC). The software enables the creation of complex pulse programs and the recording of process data.
Yes, the AxD Compact L is housed in a robust steel enclosure and air-cooled. It is designed for continuous industrial operation in electroplating systems.
Yes, the AxD Compact L supports unipolar as well as bipolar pulse forms, including Periodic Pulse Reverse (PPR), for improved coating quality.
