AC Color transformer

Application
For the electrolytic colouring of aluminium, special AC devices (alternating current power supplies) are essential to achieve consistent and decorative surface results. These systems are optimized for anodising applications that require stable and precise colouring processes.

Product Description
The AC color transformer is typically available in a synthetic coolant-based cooling design (synth.-cooled). For processes with lower current demands, an air-cooled version is also suitable.

Thanks to its robust IP54 housing, filled with insulating synthetic coolant, the AC color transformer can be positioned directly next to the colouring tank. Controlled via a specialised unit, it enables the production of standard colour shades according to EUPAS guidelines.

Block Diagram / Functional Description
The integrated control unit includes an individual ramp function and multiple timing elements to ensure the accurate generation of various colour tones. This makes the AC color transformer  a reliable tool for consistent surface results in aluminium finishing.

Customer Benefits
Because of its robustness and easy handling the AC device in synth. cooling offers an attractive entrance for E-Coating Processes. A special control allows reproducible surface results. For more advanced or customised surface applications, we recommend combining the AC device with our DCAC 1200 power supply.
