AxD Compact

Application
The requirements for innovative surfaces and electrolytic processes are becoming ever more demanding. Pulse power supplies are used in electroplating technology, as well as in numerous special processes.

Product Description
The AxD device generation, Compact design, redefines pulse power technology. A smart power supply concept that offers the possibilities of individual pulse shape design. The design tool and the Windows-based PC software VPC 3.0 represent the pragmatically oriented link between the user and the pulse power supply. A dual interface hardware allows the integration of the pulse pattern into the higher-level plant control system (Twin Interface).

Customer Benefits
The AxD series of devices is available in air-cooled or water-cooled versions. This always ensures installation in close proximity to the bath. Protection classes up to IP 54. The intelligent multi-pulse concept and the highly effective pulse current optimization (IPOS) guarantee extremely steep current rise times and optimal results for all special pulse applications.

FAQ

What is the AxD Compact and who is it suitable for?

The AxD Compact is a compact fast-pulse power supply for 1–4 output circuits with an IRMS of 800 A and pulse currents up to 1,800 A. It is designed for electroplating companies that require fast pulses ( 100 ms) and multiple outputs in a compact unit.
The AxD Compact is capable of pulse times in the millisecond range ( 100 ms), which is significantly shorter than conventional rectifiers. This makes it suitable for PPR (Periodic Pulse Reverse) processes.
PPR (Periodic Pulse Reverse) means that the current regularly alternates between positive (deposition) and negative (dissolution) directions. This significantly improves the coating quality and the uniformity of the deposition.
The AxD Compact is programmed and operated via the VPC (Visual Plating Controller) PC software, which enables intuitive visualization and logging of the pulse processes.
The AxD Compact has 1 to 4 independent output circuits, allowing for flexible assignment of pulse currents to different electroplating baths.
