Module Alpha M

Application
Individual use in processes or process areas where regulated DC power supplies are required. Especially electroplating processes, special electrolytic applications, pulse applications.

Product description
The switched-mode rectifier unit of type PSP Family alpha M, in modular, high-frequency 19″ technology, is equipped with a standardized analog interface. The EMC-compliant, high-quality painted inserts or modules are designed for installation in an industrial control cabinet and feature precise constant current and voltage regulation with low, constant ripple.

Efficient, load-dependent fan control via long-life fans. Galvanically isolated setpoints and actual values (0 – 10 VDC), optionally also 4 to 20 mA or Profibus DP. The device is short-circuit proof and equipped with overtemperature monitoring. The alpha M module is also available as an air-cooled desktop unit.

Customer benefits
Especially in so-called multi-circuit power supplies, the devices offer a high degree of packing density, with selective use, central feeding options, and central interfaces for communication and cooling.

Due to the customer-specific design of the multi-circuit power supply, the efficient effect is optimally ensured.

FAQ

For which applications is the alpha M module suitable?

The alpha M module with 500 W / 50 A is suitable for individual electroplating processes, special electrolytic applications, and pulse applications where space-saving control cabinet integration is desired.
Yes, the module can be remotely controlled by a higher-level control system via the galvanically isolated interface (0 – 10 V or optionally 4 – 20 mA).
EMC compliance (electromagnetic compatibility) means that the device does not cause impermissible interference and is immune to external interference. All MUNK modules comply with the applicable EMC standards.
Thanks to the standardized analog interface and the modular 19″ format, the alpha M module can be easily integrated into existing control cabinets and control systems.
MUNK rectifiers with two outputs offer double process flexibility in a single rectifier unit. Each output can be regulated independently, allowing two electrochemical processes to be operated simultaneously – efficiently, space-saving, and with high control stability. This saves installation costs and increases productivity in multi-bath or combination systems.
