PowerCabinet, Air-cooled

Application
Central multi-circuit power supplies are increasingly used in modern electroplating systems. The PowerCabinet is specifically designed for POP systems as well as for medium-sized systems, for example, for zinc and zinc-nickel coatings. With its scalable power, the PowerCabinet offers an efficient and powerful power supply for industrial applications.

Product Description
The PowerCabinet design is the most powerful variant of the multi-circuit power supply concept. High output current can be achieved by ‘scaling’ individual modules. Depending on customer requirements, the copper busbar connection is made at the respective position of the unit. The PowerCabinet is available in air-cooled and water-cooled designs. All interfaces are similar to the multi-circuit power supply design.

Customer Benefits
The PowerCabinet, like the multi-circuit power supply, should be regarded as a central power unit. The overall installation effort is manageable and easy to implement. A sustainable concept with a transparent investment volume and an expandable performance level at any time. The PowerCabinet offers a powerful, adaptable, and future-proof power supply solution specifically developed for industrial electroplating processes.

FAQ

What is a Multi-Circuit Power Supply?

A multi-circuit power supply is a central cabinet system that supplies several independent DC output circuits via a common control cabinet. This saves space and simplifies maintenance and monitoring.
It is suitable for modern electroplating systems with multiple tanks, e.g., for plastic electroplating, zinc alloys, or miniature medical technology systems, where several independent output circuits are required.
The number of output circuits is project-specific and depends on customer requirements. MUNK designs each multi-circuit power supply individually to meet the system’s demands.
Yes, the system can be seamlessly integrated into higher-level control and management systems (PLC/SCADA) via Profibus DP, ProfiNET, or Modbus.
Central multi-circuit power supplies offer higher packing density, a common power input, central interfaces, and simpler maintenance compared to many distributed individual units.
