PowerCabinet / PowerCabinet Nano

Application
The PowerCabinet and PowerCabinet Nano are central multi-circuit power supplies for modern electroplating lines. They are particularly suitable for POP systems as well as medium-sized systems, for example for zinc and zinc-nickel coatings. Both systems enable efficient, flexible, and scalable DC power supply for industrial coating processes.

Product description
The PowerCabinet is the most powerful version in the multi-circuit power supply range and is suitable for high output currents. Individual modules can be flexibly scaled and adapted to the respective process requirements.

The PowerCabinet Nano offers the compact alternative in modern low-profile design. Depending on the version, 3 to 6 individual rectifiers in 19″ design are available. Central infeed, bundled interfaces, and a lateral copper busbar connection make integration into existing systems easier.

  • PowerCabinet: max. 8 x 2,000 A or 10 x 1,500 A
  • PowerCabinet Nano: max. 6 x 2,000 A

Both systems are available with air or water cooling and can be seamlessly integrated into modern plant control systems.

Customer benefits
PowerCabinet and PowerCabinet Nano offer a central, high-performance, and future-proof power supply solution. Installation effort remains manageable, and the performance level can be expanded at any time.

While the PowerCabinet enables particularly high output currents, the PowerCabinet Nano impresses with its compact, space-saving design. Both variants offer high flexibility, process stability, and investment security.

FAQ

What is the PowerCabinet?

The PowerCabinet is a modular IGBT rectifier system from MUNK, based on modern SiC technology and specifically developed for surface finishing technology. It provides stably regulated direct current and voltage for electroplating, anodizing, and other electrochemical processes where constant process control and high operational reliability are crucial.
MUNK PowerCabinet rectifiers are used in numerous surface finishing applications. These include anodizing and hard anodizing processes, zinc plating, chrome plating, degreasing, electropolishing, and other galvanic and electrochemical procedures. Due to its modular design, the PowerCabinet can be flexibly integrated into both new systems and modernizations, including in the automotive, aerospace, architectural, and electronics industries.
High energy efficiency through modern IGBT technology / SiC technology
– Precise current and voltage regulation for stable processes and uniform coatings
– Compact design with optimized cooling for space-saving integration
– Maintenance-friendly design for minimal downtime
– Industry 4.0-ready thanks to modern interfaces and digital control
The PowerCabinet thus offers future-proof, efficient, and sustainable solutions for all galvanic and electrochemical applications.
Yes. Thanks to its modular design, the MUNK PowerCabinet can be easily integrated into existing systems. Depending on the version, it features three to six rectifier modules in a 19″ design, which together enable output currents of up to 4,000 amperes.
Yes. The PowerCabinet replaces older rectifier systems without significant conversion effort. It can be quickly integrated into existing systems and subsequently ensures more stable processes, lower energy costs, and higher plant availability.
