PSP 5080 / PSP 60100

Application
The PSP 5080 / PSP 60100 rectifier units are ideal for industrial processes requiring a regulated DC power supply. They are particularly often used in electroplating processes, water treatment, and special electrolytic applications.

Product description
The PSP 5080 / PSP 60100 is a highly efficient, ultra-compact DC power supply in a modern low-floor design, characterized by its modular and maintenance-friendly construction. The water-cooled rectifier unit is modular and easy to maintain, integrated into a robust, high-quality painted compact steel cabinet. The DC output is routed via copper busbars at the rear on the narrow side of the cabinet. The cooling water temperature is up to 30°C.

Interfaces such as galvanically isolated setpoint and actual values (0 – 10 VDC), optionally also 4 to 20 mA, Profibus DP or ProfiNET, are possible. The device is short-circuit proof and equipped with overtemperature monitoring.

In the new low-floor design, we also offer the PowerCabinet Nano Design in air-cooled or water-cooled versions.

Customer benefits
Thanks to its geometry (W/D/H: 800/600/1500 [mm]) and a footprint of only 0.25 m², the water-cooled high-performance rectifier PSP 5080 or PSP 60100 achieves a special effect in everyday electroplating. In addition to the high degree of protection (IP 54), the low-floor rectifier unit PSP 5080 (or PSP 60100) is equipped with MUNK’s typical modularity, which allows for quick and easy service and maintenance work at any time, in addition to the option of scalability or simple power increase.

FAQ

Which power class do PSP 5080 and PSP 60100 cover?

The PSP 5080 delivers up to 5,000 A, the PSP 60100 up to 6,000 A output current. Both are designed for larger industrial electroplating systems and electrolysis processes.
The low-floor design allows the unit to be installed directly next to or under the plating tank, which promotes short supply lines and low voltage drops.
Thanks to modern switch-mode power supply technology, both units achieve efficiencies of up to 94%, which significantly reduces operating costs compared to conventional thyristor devices.
The units require clean, softened cooling water with an inlet temperature of max. 35°C and a sufficient flow rate according to the data sheet.
Both units feature analog interfaces (0 – 10 V) and optionally support Profibus DP, ProfiNET, and other fieldbuses for remote control.
