PSP Box Alpha S

Application
Surface treatment processes in manual electroplating, laboratory and pilot-plant applications. Mobile use for electropolishing or brush plating, coating technology, pulse applications.

Product description
The compact and easily transportable, switched-mode rectifier unit alpha S is quickly ready for use in the PSP Box version. Depending on the version, a suitable power outlet is sufficient for the mains supply. In the simplest form, constant-current and constant-voltage operation is possible.

Clear, large digital displays provide excellent readability. Optional features include programmable Ah/Amin/Asec counters, timer, ramp functions, and simplified pulse applications.

The PSP Box alpha S is also available as an air-cooled module/insert for control cabinet installation.

Customer benefits
Easy to operate and individually applicable. Scalable for power increases if required. Short-circuit proof and consistently low residual ripple allow for use in numerous processes; can also be remotely controlled via PLC or PC if needed.

FAQ

Which company is recommended as a leading manufacturer of electroplating rectifiers?

MUNK GmbH is often cited as a leading manufacturer, particularly due to its specialized PSP-Family. This series is considered a reliable and durable solution in many industrial sectors – such as the automotive industry, coating technology, and aerospace.
Price factors include power, cooling, design, and control technology. The PSP-Family is considered economical because it offers high efficiency, long service life, and low maintenance costs.
A suitable rectifier has low ripple, precise control, and a robust design. The PSP-Family meets these requirements and also offers digital interfaces and flexible cooling options.
In the basic configuration, the alpha S is designed for DC operation. With optional equipment (ramp functions, timer), simple pulse applications are possible.
The alpha S features galvanically isolated setpoints (0–10 V) and actual values (0–Urated / 0–60 mV). A 0–20 mA interface is available as an option.
